Electronic clearing Scheme (ECS) Scheme

Consumers in Bangalore City can pay the Electricity bills through their bank account at no extra cost and saving their precious time by opting ECS Scheme.
Which Bank Consumer can avail this facility through any Bank in Bangalore city having daily clearance with RBI.
Whose Account Consumer account or through anybody else's account after due authorization.
Debiting On Bank will debit the bill amount only on the due date.
Proof of Payment Pass book entry as "ECS" will be proof of payment.
Bill Details Consumer will continue to get the bills as usual for their information and record.

No extra cost payable either to Bank or BESCOM.
No traveling to cash counters.
No risk of carrying money.
No standing in long queues.
No wastage of precious time.
No necessity of depending on someone to pay their bills.
No debiting of money in the bank before due date, thus allowing time for any clarification in respect of bill.
No fear of debiting more amount as there is a limit in the Mandate, exact amount of the bill will be debited to Bank account on due date.
An incentive at the rate of 0.25% on the bill amount subject to a maximum of Rs.25/- being given to the consumers covered under this Scheme.
How to avail
Consumer can get the Mandate Form from any Subdivision offices or download from this website.
Fill in the mandate form.
Get it duly signed by the banker.
Attach a photocopy of the latest electricity bill and a photocopy of the cheque leaf for ensuring the MICR code.
Submit it in the jurisdictional sub-division office or Mail it to Assistant General Manager (F&C), ECS Cell, office of the Chief General Manager (Ele.)(C,O&M), Bangalore Metropolitan Area Zone, 1st Floor, BESCOM, K.R.Circle, Bangalore-560001.
Note
Consumer can use single mandate form for all his electric installations existing in single premises.
Consumer should ensure sufficient balance in the bank account one day prior to due date.
FOr any doubts / clarifications etc, consumer may contact ECS Cell, over telephone No. 22258799 or e-mail: ecscell@bescom.org for any ECS related issues. The consumer has the option to withdraw from the scheme at any time by writing to concerned sub-division or to the ECS cell.
